Configuring the non-Hot Plug HDD

This section includes instructions for removing and installing the non-

Hot Plug HDD cage as well as procedures on how to install a hard disk

into the cage.

To remove the cage

1 Turn off the system and all the peripherals connected to it.

2 Unplug all cables from the power outlets.

3 Place the system on a flat, stable surface.

4 Remove the front bezel, inner front panel, side panel, and air

baffle.

5 Disconnect the HDD bus cable and the HDD power cable from the

hard disk drive.

6 Loosen the four thumbscrews that secure the cage to the chassis

(1).

7 Removet the cage from the chassis (2).
